Artist Bio:

During graduate school, I developed the habit of creating work under various names that helped shape the nature of my art through these pseudonyms.

I have earned a Bachelor’s of Art degree from the University of Wisconsin Parkside and a Master’s of
Fine Arts degree from the University of Arizona.

I have taught art in the public schools for over 35 years including the last 27 years for the Shiocton School District. I recently retired. I also teach at the college level most recently at the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh in 2023.
During graduate school, I developed the habit of creating work under various names that helped shape the nature of the work created. I still create most of my art through these pseudonyms.
Recently I participated in the Big Paste Print Exchange which required the artists to paste prints onto exterior walls of buildings in various cities in the United States and Puerto Rico.
The work I created is titled, “Tobor”. It is a print made from a 2 foot by 4 foot wood block on Masa
Paper. It is a work created by Huey and includes a robot that is balancing precariously on a rubber ball and is startled by the Huey Rocket entering the scene from the upper right-hand part of the image. The robot is a combination of several bits of childhood memories which include the Tin Man from the Wizard of Oz (the oil can), Rosie the Robot from the cartoon series, the Jetsons (cooking a chicken in its oven chest), and an old sci-fi movie from the 1960’s about a robot named, “Tobor” (the boxy shape of the robot).
